Proper Leash Handling Skills, Where a Heel should Be, Nice Distance Recall

I could have/should have put this one at the end....But, this pup is doing a sit-stay on a busy residential street at the end of a 30 ft. leash.....WOW...That all dogs should be this nicely behaved in 10 days time!

This same pup doing a front come....Nose in the crotch...Typical Dobie!

Notice that there is "U" shape to the leash?  That is how "loose" the leash should be on a properly trained dog,

This is an EXAMPLE of how to NOT HOLD THE LEASH!

This shows where the dog should be, and again, how loose the leash should be!

See how the leash is dragging in the behind the dog?  This dog is "essentially" off leash.  Why?  Because that leash is 30 ft in length....He has the option not to "heel".  BTW, this dog is 7 months old at the time of this picture.

Just A Few Pics Here and There......

Taste of the Wild
